My grooming shop is in very close proximity to a pet supply store. This same question also comes up regarding both the Online Ambassador and Sales & Marketing Consultants. What ensures that a person across the street from my shop isn’t selling the same products?

If you require exclusivity from other Retail Partners in your area, you would need to follow the guidelines as outlined above. As for Sales & Marketing Consultants, their territory is open – but once again our priority is to support your business. A list of our Retail Partners will be provided on the LifeFORCE website so that customers can see where they are able to purchase the products. Our research shows that people prefer to buy from a store front rather than online so you will have the higher ground.

What programs have been implemented to ensure protection for retailers regarding competition sales?

Our priority is retail partners that can sell products. We offer exclusivity based on various guidelines that have been determined by regional population as outlined below. We ask that you make a full effort to maintain the level of sales required for exclusivity in your area. We can evaluate the program on a semi-annual basis to monitor progress.

Retail Partner Exclusivity Guidelines:

Population ISO Monthly Spend
Region A 75,000 and up $999 ISO $999/monthly
Region B 25,000 to 75,000 $799 ISO $799/monthly
Region B 25,000 and under $499 ISO $499/monthly

What is the best way to apply Essential Oils to my dog?

We recommend our LifeFORCE Essential Oil Blends be used topically (diluted as directed) via massage or through inhalation; using the diffuser tag (diluted as directed) or with a LifeFORCE Hydrosol Aromatic Diffuser. The Diffuser is the safest method for Essential Oils application, as the water based system is designed to gently diffuse our essential oils at a very low ratio throughout an area. This diffuser is designed to be safe enough for use in households which are shared with cats, birds, or other small animals. We do not recommend using any essential oils internally without the supervision of a holistic veterinarian. Though essential oils offer many benefits, they are potent and can be dangerous if used incorrectly.

What is a Carrier Oil?

Essential oils, though useful in the therapeutic treatment of health, wellness, and behavioral issues in dogs – can NEVER be used at full strength. Essential oils must always be diluted regardless of application method. Carrier oils are extremely important for this reason. There are many different carrier oils available for example; olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil – some are more appropriate than others. Learn more HERE.

How are they used?

Aromatherapy is a lot more than making your dog smell pretty. Essential Oils, when used to treat dogs, should always be diluted as directed (usually at a ratio of 1:100) in carrier oil. Essential Oils blended with carrier oil, can be used topically, internally, or through Inhalation.

Are all Essential Oils Safe for my Dog?

No. LifeFORCE oils are specifically chosen for use with dogs – They are a blend of safe, high quality, pure, food grade. Many Essential oils on the market today are dangerous for dogs and should never be used. Quality matters with essential oils; countless oils sold today are not pure or food grade; this may be fine for humans but top quality is especially important canine applications due to their intense sensitivity to scent.

Are Essential Oils good for all my pets?

No. Essential oils are potent liquids which have extremely powerful medicinal properties. These oils can be used therapeutically for the treatment of both physical and behavioral issues in dogs. Essential oils should never be used on cats, birds, or other small mammals. Essential oils should not be used on pregnant Bitches or puppies under 6 months of age.

Why should I use Essential Oils on my Dog?

Many of these oils have antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, or detoxifying abilities and can be emotionally stimulating or sedating.

Are Vitamins & Minerals Added to LifeFORCE?

LifeFORCE uses only the freshest ingredients. Our beef, chicken and lamb are farm-raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. We use the choicest cuts, along with organ meat to ensure our diets contain all the required amino acids e.g. taurine. The fresh vegetables in our foods are the same as you would find on your own table. We don’t need to supplement any vitamins and minerals because our food is made from the freshest food sources. Even the parsley is fresh!

How Do I Add Fruits & Veggies?

If you wish, you can add some of your veggies or fruits to LifeFORCE. Ensure any veggies are steamed, since dogs and cats cannot digest the cellulose in the walls of veggies, or run through a food processor. Add only a tablespoon or two (and ensure these are safe for your animals), depending on weight.

How do I Add Carbohydrates?

Just as with humans, no two dogs are the same. While most do well on a grain-free diet, others require additional carbohydrates to satisfy their dietary needs. If your dog is very active e.g. competes in agility, he or she may require some additional calories in the form of carbohydrates. If this is the case, it’s easy to add this to your dog’s diet. After rehydrating LifeFORCE, simply add cooked barley, brown rice or oatmeal at a ratio of 4:1 (LifeFORCE to carbs). In other words, for every one cup of LifeFORCE, add ¼ cup of grains.

Traveling with LifeFORCE

Because it can be stored at room temperature, LifeFORCE is the perfect food for traveling. Take it on road trips, camping, to the cottage, the chalet or anywhere else you and your four-legged friends are heading off to. For traveling, we recommend storing LifeFORCE in an airtight container. Do not rehydrate until you’re ready to feed, unless you’re storing it in a cooler.

How to Handle Raw Food Diets

Dogs and cats are built to neutralize the parasites that exist in a raw diet. While dehydrating does kill off some of these bacteria, it’s best to treat LifeFORCE as you would any meat product.

  • Wipe up spills with a hot, soapy cloth
  • Clean pet food bowls every day with hot, soapy water
  • Wash your hands after after preparation
  • Ensure children do not consume LifeFORCE (they can safely handle treats – just make sure they wash their hands afterwards)

Feeding Guidelines

Weight (lbs) Serving Size Cost Per Serving (based on 5 lb bag)
Under 10 lbs 1/8 cup or 15 g dehydrated food $0.71 Per Day
10-15 lbs 1/4 cup or 30 g dehydrated food $1.43 Per Day
15-25 lbs 3/8 cup or 45 g dehydrated food $2.14 Per Day
25-35 lbs 1/2 cup or 55 g dehydrated food $2.67 Per Day
35-50 lbs 3/4 cup or 80 g dehydrated food $3.82 Per Day
50-65 lbs 1 cup or 110 g dehydrated food $5.20 Per Day

How to Rehydrate LifeFORCE

LifeFORCE can be fed either dehydrated or rehydrated. We recommend rehydrating food, especially for cats, to ensure your pet is not overeating. To rehydrate, follow the guidelines on the package. Use filtered or spring water if possible. You can either rehydrate directly in the pet food bowl (just add water, stir and wait 15 minutes before feeding). Or you can make up a batch of LifeFORCE in a container and store it in the fridge. We recommend making no more than 3 days of food at a time. Remember to wash the container with hot, soapy water between batches.

Variety is the spice of life!

Once you’ve transitioned to LifeFORCE, we recommend changing up the protein sources periodically to ensure your pet is getting optimal nutrition. Since every protein source offers different benefits, fat content, etc., feeding a variety of foods provides your animal with a more rounded diet. You can vary the diet as much as you like, rotating protein sources daily or a couple of times a week. It’s as easy as storing a couple of different recipes in your cupboard at a time. We do not recommend mixing protein sources; it’s more beneficial to feed different diets on different days. And your pet will love the variety too!

How to Transition to a Raw Diet?

As with any new diet, it’s best to introduce LifeFORCE slowly over 10-14 days. If your dog or cat is new to a raw diet, stick with one protein source (chicken or beef) during the transition period.

If your pet’s stools are firm, you may speed up your transition by a day. Switching slowly gives your dog’s or cat’s system time to adapt to this healthier diet, which is richer in enzymes and nutrients. Think of it this way – imagine you’ve been eating cereal all your life and now you’ve decided to eat only fresh vegetables. Your body will need a little time to adjust to all these wonderful new bioavailable vitamins and minerals, not to mention the fiber.

Transition Guidelines

We recommend the following guidelines for a smooth transition:

Day 1-4 Day 5-7 Day 8-10 Day 11+
25% LifeFORCE 50% LifeFORCE 75% LifeFORCE 100% LifeFORCE
75% Current Diet 50% Current Diet 25% Current Diet

Why all Dehydrated Diets are not Created Equal?

Dehydrated raw is a much more convenient way to feed a raw diet. There’s no mess or remembering to take food out of the freezer. While some foods are freeze dried or dried with heat, LifeFORCE is air dried at room temperature to ensure beneficial food enzymes are not destroyed. This patent pending process means your animal friends get the most nutrition possible out of their food. LifeFORCE is also easily rehydrated – in only 15 minutes. It’s never been so easy or convenient to feed your pet a species- appropriate diet!

What are the Benefits of a Raw Diet?

Raw feeders say they notice definite health benefits to their dogs and cats, including:

  • Increased energy
  • Better digestion
  • Glossier, softer coats
  • Healthier skin
  • Lower obesity
  • Less plaque and tarter on teeth
  • Less allergies
  • Smaller, less smelly stools

Why Feed a Raw, Dehydrated Diet?

There’s no getting away from genetics. Like their ancestors, dogs and cats are born meat eaters. For thousands of years, wild dogs and cats thrived on what they could hunt and consume, and the bulk of their diet was made up of prey they hunted or scavenged. Look closely at a dog’s or cat’s anatomy and you’ll notice that they are built very differently from humans. Powerful teeth, short intestinal tracts, acidic gut flora – all are designed for raw meat consumption.
