IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT OUR CBD OIL.
We have run into a problem with our CBD supplier since Health Canada has decided to put a firm foot down when it comes to CBD oil. It is now only available to purchase through a registered cannabis vendor, which LifeFORCE is not as of right now. This is very unfortunate, as the government is currently treating CBD oil (derived from hemp!) as a drug… which it is not.
This means that LifeFORCE will not be selling CBD oil until further notice.
You can help everyone in the pet and human community that use CBD oil daily by contacting Health Canada and letting them know how important it is for CBD oil to not be regulated under the Cannabis Act, as it makes it much harder for anyone to purchase the product. You can send an email directly to the Deputy Minister of Health Canada here: https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/corporate/contact-us/deputy-minister.html
Thank you for your support, we appreciate it!
About Our CBD Pet Tincture
By selecting LifeFORCE balance, you’ve made a great choice in caring for your pet’s overall health and well-being.
Top reasons to use hemp oil-based CBD for pets
Hemp oil is high in Cannabidiol (CBD) but contains only trace amounts of THC. It doesn’t create the “high” caused by its “cousin”, the marijuana plant. This makes it much safer to use for pets.
CBD has been shown to:
- Boost immune function
- Reduce anxiety
- Improve digestion
- Reduce pain and inflammation
- Reduce nausea
- Improve appetite
- Aid skin conditions
- Inhibit growth in cancer cells
- Relieve noise phobias
What you need to know before choosing CBD for your pet
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound found in the cannabis plant. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does NOT produce the stereotypical psychedelic effect or “high”, which can be toxic to pets.
While both hemp and marijuana are members of the cannabis family, hemp contains high levels of CBD and only trace amounts (up to .3%) of THC. Marijuana, on the other hand, contains less CBD and more THC.
This makes hemp the preferred source for medicinal use in both humans and pets. Preliminary clinical research has shown several well-documented outcomes, and studies continue to reveal other benefits.
Not all CBD products are created equal, however. So it’s important to educate yourself on the safe use of CBD as it relates to your dog and cat.
What to look for in a CBD product?
1. Is it organic?
For a product free from pesticides and herbicides, look for a product sourced from organic hemp.
2. What is the potency?
All CBD products should clearly indicate the cannabinoid potency. This typically ranges from 225-1000 mg per 30 ml bottle. Veterinarians usually suggest starting with the lowest potency possible, and increasing dosage as required, especially for more serious conditions. In addition to potency, make sure the product is full spectrum, since studies show this provides more relief than an isolate.
3. Is it safe?
High quality help oil products, such as Lifeforce Balance™ pet tincture, put their products through extensive testing to ensure guaranteed potency and safety. Ensure that the product you choose has been tested for these, and the results are available for you to review.
4. Is it palatable for animals?
Some hemp oils have a strong, sharp or bitter taste that pets detest. Look for a product with a mild taste that’s blended in a pleasant-tasting carrier oil such as coconut oil.
How to give CBD
Follow dosing directions. Lifeforce Balance pet tincture can be applied directly on the back of your pet’s tongue, or you can apply drops to food or a treat. Balance is intended as a proactive daily cannabinoid therapy for optimal health. For therapeutic doses for serious conditions such as seizures, cancer or as part of a palliative care program, consult your veterinarian.
Why Lifeforce Balance CBD pet tincture?
Superior quality
Balance pet tincture is made with only certified organic ingredients. In addition to organic hemp oil, we use organic coconut oil (MCT) as our carrier oil. Coconut oil also aids in digestion, coat and skin health, reducing inflammation, and so much more! And Balance is full spectrum, so your pet gets the enhanced healing power of multiple cannabinoids.
Rapid absorption
CBD is a fat-soluble cannabinoid. This means it breaks down and is stored in fat, not water. Since coconut oil is high in saturated fat (the healthy kind), it is the perfect binding agent for CBD. As a medium-chain triglyceride (MCT), coconut oil can be converted into energy immediately without having to go through any processing.
Lab-tested
Every batch of Balance CBD is lab-tested for potency, consistency, purity and safety. So you can rest assured you’re giving your pet the safest, highest quality product available.

Ingredients
Our product uses two simple, natural and wholesome ingredients – organic CBD hemp oil and organic MCT coconut oil.
Organic CBD Hemp Oil
We’ve chosen organic hemp to offer a superior product without the risk of side effects from residual herbicides and pesticides found in non-organic CBD products. Hemp also contains more CBD than marijuana and less THC, which can be toxic for your pet. CBD has been shown to:
Boost immune function
Reduce anxiety
Improve digestion
Reduce pain and inflammation
Improve appetite
Help treat epilepsy and seizures
And more!
Organic MCT Coconut Oil
CBD is a fat-soluble cannabinoid. This means it breaks down and is stored in fat, not water. Coconut oil is high in saturated fat (the healthy kind). This makes it the perfect binding agent for CBD allowing for rapid absorption into the body. MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) are fats that are shorter than most other fats and can be converted into energy immediately without having to go through any processing. So, coconut oil and CBD go hand in hand! Coconut oil is also great for:
Digestion
Coat and skin health
Energy
Inflammation
And more!
Frequently Asked Questions about CBD Oil for Pets
Does CBD oil have psychoactive elements?
No, the full-spectrum hemp extract used in our products are derived from 100% organic industrial hemp plants grown in full compliance with the industrial hemp program. Since these plants contain significantly less than 0.3% THC, they are classified as industrial hemp under Health Canada and do not contain psychoactive properties.
Is hemp legal?
Hemp does not cause any psychoactive effects and is legal for licensed farmers to grow. Businesses craft clothing, soaps, nutritional products and even cars and houses out of hemp. Hemp is legal in Canada and most of the world. Our products are derived from compliant industrial hemp crops.
How do I know how much to give to my pet?
1 dropper (1ml) of LifeFORCE balance contains 8.3mg of CBD.
As a general guide, you can administer 0.25mg (regular dose) to 0.5mg (strong dose) of CBD per 1lb of body weight (for both cats and dogs).
Example: If your dog weighs 25 pounds, then 25 x 0.5 = 12.5 mg – that’s about 1 ½ droppers per day.
If your pet requires therapeutic doses of CBD for serious conditions like seizures, cancer or as part of a palliative care program, consult your veterinarian for further guidance.

Cannabis vs. prescription drugs?
In most cases, veterinarians will most likely recommend conventional medicine over hemp oils and cannabis treats. Still, there is plenty of research (and many professionals will agree) that indicates giving your dog some pot may produce fewer side effects than “manmade” drugs, lessening the chances of fatigue, loss of appetite, vomiting and even liver damage (Canadian Dogs, 2017).
